Yellow Ribbon Classic Car is an effort to promote, fund and obtain a
visible tribute memorial on the Highway of Heroes - Trans Canada
Highway #401 by classic car enthusiasts in conjunction with the
Port Credit Royal Canadian Legion - Col Alex Thomson Branch #82
located 35 Front Street, Mississauga Ontario.
Ideally, a bronze statue of the "Soldier's Cross" also known as
"Battle Cross". A fixed bayonet rifle struck into the ground with
the soldier's helmet atop the stock and boots at the base symbolizing
the last march to battle.
Our wish is to place the memorial along the Highway of Heroes,
visible to passing motorists with the ability for those that wish to
stop and pay tribute to do so in a safe manner.
This year the "Cuise" did not occur due to ongoing car events in the
area and also due the the weather not co-operating.
Look for an early cruise to take place in the Spring of 2014.
